Finding Your Mission
Does God call upon every one of us to be missionaries? Of course He does. We don’t have to travel to the corners of the world to do missionary work. We can be missionaries right here at Mountainside. Paul commended the Thessalonians (1 Thess 1:8) for “sounding forth” the Gospel from their own home church. When Joseph was sold into slavery, he didn’t give a thought to how he could proclaim the true God in his new life. But God gave him many opportunities to preach, and he sounded forth when given the chance. Keep your eyes and ears open. God brings us opportunities each day to be a missionary. It is a blessing to us and to those around us when we seize those opportunities.
