The Destruction of Sodom

We see Abraham’s negotiating skills in 18:26-32.  When Abraham heard of God’s plan to destroy Sodom, he just wanted to save his nephew Lot, who lived there.  So he started high and negotiated down to ten people.  Of course, God saw through his ploy, and He did not change His mind about Sodom.  But God gave Abraham what he wanted, and sent the angels to rescue Lot before the destruction took place.  This was the second time Abraham rescued his nephew.  I only hope Lot recognized how much he owed his uncle.
